
Field Boiler Mechanic/Operations TechnicianThe Technical Services Department of a Residential Property Management company based in Brooklyn NY is seeking Strong Field Operations Boiler Mechanic to oversee the physical operation of the properties within the company’s portfolio. The company has properties throughout NY City, Upstate NY, and Northern New Jersey. The Field Operations crew will work with Property Managers, Maintenance Supervisors, and Site Superintendents ensuring all systems are operating properly, site personnel are trained on/and performing preventive maintenance as scheduling, repairing, replacing, and upgrading mechanical equipment as needed. Specific duties will include but are not limited to:Duties:Performs inspections of buildings and mechanical system evaluating the conditions of existing major mechanical equipment, such as: Boilers, pumps, fans, hot water heaters, electrical systems, fire systems, etc.Establish scope of work for repairs, replacement and upgrade of equipment and components’Monitor construction projects.Interface with Contractors and Consultants, City and State Agencies such as NYC Building Department, NYC Department Environmental Protection, and NYC Fire Department.Read and follow sketches and specifications for in-house projects.Make recommendations to Building owners, Senior Management, Property Managers, and Site maintenance staff on preventative maintenance programs, OSHA safety programs and guidelines,and capital improvements projects as needed.Instruct and train building personnel on all building mechanical equipment as needed.REQUIREMENTS:A BS degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering preferred (not required)A minimum of 10 years’ experience as a Boiler Mechanic/Superintendent/Facilities Maintenance Mechanic.Must be computer literate (Microsoft office, Outlook, Excel, etc.)Must have excellent Managerial and Communication skillsCompany offers a salary range of $90K to $95K Annually, Benefits Package including medical coverage, Dental plan, Long and Short-Term Disability, Flexible Spending Accounts, Term Life Insurance Coverage as well as a 401K retirement Plan.
